A Swiss Army knife for developers

Some time ago I discovered DevToys — an incredibly cool aggregator of developer tools that replaces dozens of open browser tabs.

The app has a Ukrainian interface, works offline and is available for Windows, macOS and Debian / Ubuntu.

On board

  • JSON / YAML / XML formatters
  • base64 / URL / HTML encoder/decoder
  • Regex tester
  • Hash generator (MD5, SHA...)
  • UUID generator
  • JWT decoder
  • Timestamp ↔ date
  • Text diff
  • Lorem Ipsum
  • CSV ↔ JSON
  • and more

TOP 3 — what the Doctor prescribed

  • Regex Tester — it can't compete with regex101 for convenience when designing and testing complex patterns, but for simple regular expressions it's ideal.
  • JSON / YAML / XML formatters — a lifesaver when you get something shaggy and need to put it in order.
  • base64 / URL / HTML encoder/decoder — needed often, and it's nice to have it at hand.

DevToys also has an open SDK that lets you add your own extensions.

I highly recommend trying it

Install it — and that's a few online services fewer in your bookmarks.
